In Australia Blu-ray movies are selling at the rate of 1500 per week, where HD-DVD is selling only 200 per week. There are more stand alone HD-DVD units than Blu-ray units. So the PS3 has to be pushing the sales, there can be no other explanation. Yet Toshiba simply refuses to believe this. They still want to believe PS3 owners only buy games. I couldn't care less about any other console. PS3 has the games I need! Lair is looking awesome. Uncharted is also another must buy, nothing else comes close.
People are crazy if they buy a 360 before the new motherboard is installed. And Microsoft are crazy to keep plugging a defective machine. They are only hurting themselves long term.
And once you buy the fans to keep it cool, the HD-DVD hard drive, the battery packs, and the face plates to make it look even remotely cool, you get a really high attach rate for accessories. Hey, you nearly have a working console like a PS3!

In Australia, EB stores have 20th of September as the release date. That's 5 days before Halo 3 comes out. Just pre-ordered my copy and I can't wait. It should take quite a bit of shine off of Halo. Supposedly, there are scenes that contain 2000-3000 bad guys that each have their own individual AI. Awesome! It has true HDR lighting and every object in the game casts and receives soft shadows. Wow!

MGS4 is now also on my list! Along with Killzone 2, Uncharted, Lair, and Heavenly Sword. But then there's Jericho. I'm glad these games aren't all coming out at once, I would'nt know which to play first. It's like a banquet with all your favourite food. Who said PS3 gamers were being starved?
It's a great game. Most of you who say it's crap, have'nt even played it, being Xbots and such. It resides permanently in my collection. Killzone 2 will be way better.
The E3 trailer was probably work they did 6 months ago. They are saving the real trailer for pre-release. Just when we think we've seen everything, bam, they'll blow our minds again.

More and more people are being put off by 360's breakdowns. I alone know several people who have dropped their 360's for PS3 and are not looking back. Well, Xbots can just keep buying their Elites, and Blu-ray add ons and cooling fans and whatever else you need to keep 360 functional. I'll keep my PS3. Take notice of the charts, and you'll see 360's sales have declined while PS3's are improving. Probably because more people are aware of 360's defects now. And another point! O.K., external hard drives are getting bigger and cheaper, blah, blah. But exactly how much data are you going to stream into those things, eventually you're going to run out of space.
